If you are in the area for a few weeks, perhaps on a short-term
contract then you will probably find the extra space and privacy
of a self-catering cottage very appealing. The value for money
of such an arrangement cannot be overlooked either. Compared
with the cost of staying in a hotel then renting a cottage makes
very good financial sense. Added to that, having your own front
door to shut onto the rest of the world when you get “home”
after a long days work cannot be over estimated. Eating out,
once or twice a week, can be a real pleasure, but having to
do it every night soon loses its appeal. Having the additional
benefit of your own kitchen (and dishwasher!) can make your
stay away from home all the more pleasant. If like many of my
guests you only stay Monday to Friday you can ring the changes
and have your spouse or other friends to visit you for the weekend
instead of you always having to make that long trek home.
If you are moving house, or indeed having new house built you may
well find that you have a few weeks between selling your old house
and moving into your new one. A short stay here can really take
the pressure of your buyers and your builders. And can save you
your sanity.
Self-catering here is easy. All you need to bring are your own clothes
and food. So if your packing up your house for a move you can just let
the removal men pack everything. No need to worry about keeping
out a kettle or the iron! All bed linen (including a change for stays
of more than one week) and towels are provided. Discounts may be
available for longer stays. Please ring me and ask.
We are very easy to find as we have a farm drive directly
from the A519. We are only 5 minutes from Newport, 10 from
Eccleshall, 20 from Stafford and Telford, and around half
an hour from Shrewsbury and Stoke-on-Trent. Our farm drive
is properly tarmaced (not a pothole in sight) and parking
is no problem at all.
