Bluebell Cottage Accessibility

This cottage is the middle barn conversion in an L shape of three.

The cottage has full oil fired central heating with individual thermostatic valves on the radiators and a control system that is within the cottage. There are smoke alarms and a fire blanket and small extinguisher. There are small plug in emergency lighting lamps and a torch under the sink. All doors are Yale type and can be opened from the inside without keys.

Arrival and Car Parking

• Luggage can be unloaded 15 meters from the front door. There is level access and the ground is either tarmac or paving.
• Car Parking is available 15 meters from the cottage door. A space can be reserved on the tarmac if requested. Otherwise car parking is on an unbound but fairly solid surface. The door leading into the kitchen is 80cm wide.
• This leads into the kitchen.

The Cottage

• The minimum width of the downstairs doorways is 80cm.
• The cottage is all on the ground floor, with no steps, and has three bedrooms, one double and two twins, and 2 bathrooms, one with a bath and one with a shower.

Kitchen

• The kitchen is 350cm by 370cm and has a tiled floor.
• There are units on three sides which are 90cm high.
• The kitchen table is 130cm by 90cm and has a leg at each corner. It is 75cm high with an under table height (i.e. knee room) of 62cm.
• There are wooden kitchen chairs without arms which have a seat height of 44cm.

Sitting Room

• This room has a wooden floor.
• It is 530cm by 750cm.
• There are two sofas and two chairs which are 45cm high.
• There is a TV with freeview, DVD and video with remote controls and subtitles.
• There are patio doors which are 110cm wide with a 3cm threshold strip, leading onto a level patio leading onto the lawn. There are wooden table and chairs here.

Hall

• This is 110cm wide and 820cm long.
• There is a front door, which is 110cm wide, with a 15cm step into the hall way. There is level access from the car park.

Double En-Suite

• This is 300cm by 380cm wide and is fully carpeted.
• It has a double (140cm by 195cm) which are 60cm high with a metal headboard and baseboard.
• There is freestanding furniture consisting of a wardrobe and a chest of drawers.

En-Suite Bathroom

• This room is 180cm by 190cm and has a wooden floor.
• This consists of a bath, height 54cm, a basin which is 83cm and a loo which has a seat eight of 42cm.

Downstairs Shower Room

• This is 200cm by 120cm and has a tiled floor.
• The shower is 75cm by 115cm and has a 15cm step into it. The access door is 50cm wide. There is a grab rail inside.
• The loo is 42cm high and has a 65cm space to the side. There is a rail to the side.
• The sink is wall hung and is 80cm high.

First Twin Room

• This is 350cm by 380cm.
• It has two single beds (90cm by 195cm) which are 50cm high and have wooden headboards.
• There is a freestanding wardrobe and dressing table which can be moved to make more space if necessary.

Second Twin Room

• This is 240cm by 580cm.
• It has two single beds (90cm by 195cm) which are 50cm high and have wooden headboards.
• There is a wardrobe and a chest of drawers which are free standing and can be moved around if required.

Utility Room

There is a small utility room with a washer dryer and iron etc.
